JOIN US FOR A FUN AND INTERACTIVE DAY OF PRACTICE DEVELOPMENT, NETWORKING, AND LEARNING AT THE CO PRODUCTION FACILITATORS PRACTICE DEVELOPMENT DAY IN LONDON ON May 7th, 2024.

Following the success of the last session in Manchester for practitioners in the North we are pleased to announce our next facilitators practice development day in the South in London. Led by experienced facilitator Lauren Maile-Wilson and supported by Elbagir Abubakar and Tarana Wafi this event is specifically designed for facilitators and coordinators of Expert by Experience groups and co-production activities.

The interactive day workshop aims to enhance participants' confidence and skills in facilitation. Through various activities, attendees will explore creative methods to boost participation and inclusivity, refine questioning and listening abilities, recognise signs of conflict and leverage tension constructively, acquire collaboration tools, and address language barriers through non-verbal communication. Additionally, the workshop emphasises adjusting facilitation styles for trauma-informed practices and provides strategies for ongoing skill development beyond the session.

To apply, simply complete the expression of interest form by 4th April. The event is free to attend, but spaces are limited, so apply early to avoid missing out.

The first allocation of places will be prioritised for those who have previously attended Refugee Action's Intro to Facilitation Skills course. Later places will be allocated to people who are involved in this work but haven’t previously attended our courses. If you have group members who are working on developing their facilitation skills, talk to us about how many places you need - TaranaW@Refugee-Action.org.uk.

Don't miss this opportunity to deepen your practice and connect with others in the field. Apply now!
