Insights into shaping the Insight Hub, accommodation & housing, and the impact of the Rwanda Act

BULLETIN 25 OF THE INSIGHT HUB EXPLORES SHAPING THE INSIGHT HUB, ACCOMMODATION & HOUSING, AND THE IMPACT OF THE RWANDA ACT. WE RECEIVED RESPONSES FROM 71 ORGANISATIONS WORKING ACROSS THE UK.

Key Messages:

>> According to organisations the Insight Hub’s primary role and value for the sector is:

     o  Providing insight on emerging crisis situations (86%).

      o  Gathering insight and information on operational issues (80%).

      o  Providing information on what is happening where in the sector (76%).

>> Organisations see the Hub as playing a ‘convening role’ for the sector and as a mechanism to influence policy.

>> The highest priority theme for Hub audiences is Accommodation, with the second priority Rights and Justice. Themes of safety and wellbeing, centring lived experience, and racial justice were all of a relatively high priority.

>> Organisations are interested in exploring alternative systems, models and approaches within the themes of Accommodation Rights and Justice.

      o   For the Accommodation theme 69% of organisations want to prioritise how to                 improve quality / access / availability of accommodation.

       o  Within the Rights and Justice theme, immigration is the key area of interest for               90% of respondents; housing (81%), and welfare (69%).
