We’ve been working with our partners, especially those with lived experience of migration (42%), to build on their expertise, enabling more people affected by the UK’s immigration system to resolve issues within their communities.

ABOUT FIAP
Introduction
FIAP stands for Frontline Immigration Advice Project. FIAP helps organisations provide accurate, good quality advice to vulnerable migrants. Without it they face injustice and destitution.
We train advisers and help organisations to register with the IAA - Immigration Advice Authority (formerly OISC), then we continue to support them in their practice.
Who we work with
We work with all not-for-profit frontline organisations, whether you:
- Want to register with the IAA (formerly OISC)
- Are already IAA (formerly OISC) registered and want to improve your service or get higher qualifications
- Are unsure about registering and want to explore whether it is right for you
- Don’t need to register, but want to understand immigration advice and how to work within its legal boundaries

- Training courses Level One and Two in immigration law at IAA (formerly OISC). Study support for IAA assessments.
- Guidance on registering through the IAA (formerly OISC)
- Immigration Advisor Handbook - a practical guide on your journey to becoming a confident immigration adisor
- Ongoing support and Continuous Professional Development to students and organisations enrolled in the FIAP programme
- Awareness raising sessions to help unregistered organisations work within legal boundaries
- Needs assessments and developing your advice model for organisations who are unsure about their requirement to register
