We’re now the Experts by Experience and Partnerships Team!
Hello subscribers,
Over the last four years we have been sharing news, events, opportunities and articles to support with developing good practice. We’re now the Experts by Experience and Partnerships Team and in all future newsletters, we will be sharing updates, opportunities and learning focussing on centring lived experience, anti-racism and building better services and legal advice provision through capacity building, insight and partnership work.
Who are we?
In 2022 we transitioned into a new department - Experts by Experience and Partnerships and we have recently gone through a restructure process changing into one unified team focusing on and interlinking four areas of work: Lived Experience, Access to Justice, Insight & Development and Anti-Racism. Refugee Action’s new Strategy seeks to end the hostile environment, solidarity is more important than ever to work to support asylum seekers, refugees and migrants’ ability to thrive in a welcoming anti-racist society.
Planning for collective change to end the hostile environment
As a department we will still be delivering our funded services but we will be more aligned, with anti-racism, centring lived experience and collaboration and partnerships at the core of the work we do. We are operating in an incredibly complex environment and organisations are under-resourced and over-stretched, working together in terms of delivery, campaigns, advocacy, development and systems change work is more necessary now than ever.
Get in touch with any questions, we’re a friendly group of people!
Best wishes - the EBE and Partnerships Team
